Pacers' Gerald Green Offers Late Heroics Vs. Grizzlies

"Danny Granger was on the sidelines in a suit. George Hill and David West were dressed in their warm-ups, but didn't play. Paul George has struggled shooting the ball most of the preseason.

So where were the Indiana Pacers going to get their scoring from in the fourth quarter of a close game against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday?

Enter Gerald Green.

Green, who has started every preseason game he's played in, stepped up and carried the Pacers down the stretch.

He scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter of the Pacers' 83-80 victory.

"I just try to let the game come to me," Green said. "In the first half, I missed an open 3, but it felt good. I feel like every shot I took felt good and was in the rhythm of the offense."

Green, like many of the Pacers, was upset with himself for his performance in Friday's loss to the Orlando Magic.

He was 6-of-10 from the field against the Magic, but he saw that he took several questionable shots when he watched the film.

Green wants to leave the days of jacking up bad shots in the past.

"That's one thing I learned being overseas, learn how to get your shots through the offense," he said."
