Miami holds on to beat Dallas, leads Finals 2-1

MANILA, Philippines - Dwyane Wade scored 29 points, Chris Bosh hit the game winning jumper, and the Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks 88-86 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Bosh hit a jump shot with 39.6 seconds remaining to break an 86-86 tie, and Dirk Nowitzki missed a potential game-tying jumper, allowing Miami to escape with the victory.

Miami now leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.

Nowitzki had 34 points and 11 rebounds. His fadeaway jump shot with 1:40 to go tied the game at 86, but he also committed a crucial turnover with 30 seconds remaining.

LeBron James, who before the game promised to be aggressive, had 17 points and nine assists. Jason Terry added 15 points for Dallas.

Game 4 will be shown live on ABS-CBN at 9 am.
