The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat played down to the wire in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, with Miami eventually grabbing an 88-86 win to take a 2-1 series lead.
The Heat pulled away on multiple occasions, but the Mavericks continued to put together runs and chipped away at Miami.
Dallas tied the game at 86-86 with Dirk Nowitzki scoring 12 consecutive points. At which point, Dwyane Wade had also scored seven straight for Miami. Both teams went back and forth from there, but a solid defensie effort from Udonis Haslem stifled Nowitzki down the stretch.
Wade scored 29 points and made buckets late to lead Miami.
