NBA champion Dallas Mavericks guard DeShawn Stevenson was released from jail Wednesday morning after posting bail following his arrest for public intoxication.
Stevenson, who has played in the NBA for a decade, was arrested Tuesday night after reports of an intoxicated person wandering around an apartment complex in Irving, Texas.
Authorities said Stevenson did not know where he was and failed sobriety tests.
Stevenson averaged 5.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists over 72 regular-season games and started 18 of 21 playoff games, averaging 4.5 points.
The Mavs defeated the Miami Heat for their first title. A parade will be staged today in Dallas.
